The interior garden is interior
The enclosure is a “space” set apart for the worship of God. The outward beauty of the chapel and grounds should be matched with an interior beauty of the soul. Just as a garden needs to be watered and weeded and cared for in so many ways to flourish and bloom, so our souls need to be watered by God’s grace, and weeded through penance, and fed by private prayer, such as Our Lady’s rosary. After all, this monastery is “Our Lady’s Garden!”
